Crisis Intervention/Adult Outreach
Domestic abuse can happen to anyone of any race, age, sexual orientation, religion or gender. It can happen within a range of relationships including couples who are married, living together or dating. Domestic violence affects people of all education levels and socioeconomic backgrounds. This control or power imbalance can take many forms, including threats, ‘stalking’ behaviour, emotional, sexual, financial or physical abuse.
Our adult outreach team are non-judgemental and are here for anyone experiencing or affected by domestic abuse. Our specialist services are available to all including women, men (ensuring safe separate provision), the LGBTQ+ community and those from the BME community.
Our Team
The MFCC Pwrpasol (Bespoke) team will act with care and professional curiosity and are fully trained to understand some of the concerns you may have. The team will listen to you and assess your situation in a supportive and confidential manner.
Support in a Crisis
Our crisis intervention services are typically the first point of contact for any adult needing support or advice around domestic abuse.
You will be assigned a key worker who will work with you, providing practical and emotional support around issues that may be challenging to you as a result of the abuse you have experienced. You will work together to identify what you want to achieve and help you create a plan to get you there.
Priority will be to work with you to assess and reduce any risk, increase your safety and help you to make informed decisions. Your key worker will co-develop bespoke safety and support plans with you so that you can have the support that is right for you.
Once any immediate risks to you or your children have been addressed you may find that you would like further support from MFCC.
