Recovery / Programmes

The Ymlaen (Forward) project offers a wide range of programmes, courses, training and interventions.

Gender specific group work for those whose lives have been negatively impacted by domestic abuse can give those attending a reality base to draw from and can help them to empathise with the experience of their group members. The structured programmes aim to support recovery, offer help with moving forward and to regain control of your own life.

The Ymlaen team will ensure the groups are a supportive environment with diverse perspectives as regular talking and listening to others also helps you put your own experiences into perspective.

Refreshments and activities are available and we do encourage the group to be self-directed. The Peer Groups play a big part in organising local events and have regular opportunities to feed into MFCC’s service reviews and forward planning through surveys and discussion.
